Jennifer Bash is an Art Director and Junior Set Designer based in Los Angeles, working both nationwide and internationally. She has worked on projects in Belfast, Northern Ireland and Canada, and most recently contributed to the Michael Jackson biopic, Michael.
Jennifer has collaborated on a wide range of productions across genres including fantasy, sci-fi, superhero films, historical drama, and comedy. These projects have provided hands-on experience with diverse filmmaking techniques, from motion capture and heavy VFX/SFX environments to large-scale builds, detailed location preparation, and façade replacements on existing structures.
Having worked across productions with varying budget scopes, Jennifer is highly adaptable, equally comfortable navigating constraints or embracing opulence. She draws on her roots as a resourceful film student, when creativity, tape, glue, and ingenuity were essential tools (along with the occasional dumpster-rescued resin mold, generously acquired in exchange for a box of donuts at the Paramount staff shop).
Jennifer earned her BA in Film and Electronic Arts from California State University, Long Beach, and went on to receive an MFA in Production Design from the American Film Institute. After graduating, she began her professional career assisting on Alice in Wonderland, steadily working her way up to Art Director on notable projects such as Real Steel, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, Dungeons & Dragons, and Michael.
Throughout her career, Jennifer has built a versatile skill set through experience as a PA, Assistant Art Director, and Set Designer. She works fluently in Rhino, SketchUp, and AutoCAD, adapting tools to suit project speed and compatibility needs. She also utilizes InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Excel, and Keynote, and is comfortable learning new software as needed, including Blender and Unreal Engine which she needed to render video work.
Outside of work, Jennifer can usually be found DIY-ing ways to make her home more efficient, building costumes, sewing, baking, or working out. When she’s not at home, she’s likely traveling spontaneously, fueled by a long list of places she’s eager to explore.
